Rose Pharma-Sponsored Patient Preference Research Accepted for Presentation at ObesityWeek® 2026

PRESS RELEASE

  • Research examines patient preferences for flexibility and control in obesity treatment

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — September 9, 2026. Rose Pharma Inc. is pleased to announce that its sponsored abstract, led by Angela Fitch, MD, FACP, MFOMA, Dipl. ABOM, entitled “Why Adults With Obesity Decline GLP-1 Therapy: Preference for Limited Medication Exposure,” has been accepted for poster presentation at ObesityWeek® 2026, The Obesity Society’s 44th Annual Meeting, taking place November 14–17, 2026 in Washington, DC.

The accepted research is based on an IRB-approved patient-preference study of adults who had been recommended weight-management therapy.

The study examines patient preferences regarding potential GLP-1 treatment characteristics, including flexibility, patient control over when medication is used, treatment duration, and other attributes that may influence treatment interest and adoption.

The research was designed to provide greater insight into how people considering obesity treatment evaluate different treatment profiles and to help inform the continued evolution of patient-centered obesity care.

Consistent with The Obesity Society’s embargo policy, detailed study findings and conclusions will not be disclosed prior to the official ObesityWeek® embargo lift.
